Acronis ANZ GM Steps up to Head the APAC Region

Acronis (http://www.acronis.com.au), a provider of affordable, scalable storage management and disaster recovery software, today announced that Bill Taylor-Mountford has been appointed the President of Acronis APAC. He will relocate to Singapore from Jan 2010 and oversee the operations in the APAC region, including Asia and Australia & New Zealand.

Previously the General Manager of Acronis ANZ, Taylor-Mountford successfully built a high-performance team in Sydney and grew the business dramatically in ANZ over the past three years. In the new role, Taylor-Mountford will be in charge of the company strategy and direction in APAC, driving growth and building Acronis’ presence.

Simon Howe has been promoted to the role of Country Sales Manager for Acronis ANZ, reporting to Taylor-Mountford. With over 15 years experience in sales and management in the IT industry, Howe will be responsible for Acronis’ continuous growth in ANZ, with an emphasis on channel and business strategies and execution. Formerly the National Sales Manager of Acronis ANZ, Howe looked after large corporate accounts and Enterprise Solutions Partners. “Simon Howe has proved himself as a qualified sales manager with a number of large corporate customer wins since Acronis set up the Australian office. He is highly respected by his colleagues and has a close relationship with the channel partners. I’m really pleased to have him lead the team,” said Taylor-Mountford. “Now under the APAC region, Acronis ANZ will be able to provide more resources and support to our partner community, reinforcing the existing commitment to the market. Acronis ANZ is poised for another year of strong growth.”

Prior to joining Acronis, Howe spent 10 years with Symantec where he developed sales and management skills and progressed rapidly within the organisation. He was managing the NSW Mid Market sales team focused on building revenues in the SME or mid-market sector before he left the company.

Acronis ANZ has experienced considerable growth in 2009, despite the challenges of a global economic downturn. It has three distributors, two Enterprise Solutions Partners and around 400 resellers in Australia and New Zealand to date.
