CMC Markets launches new features including International share trading

• Access multiple platforms and international markets through one account \ • Integrated Exchange Traded Options trading through Pro platform accounts

Sydney, 13 August 2018: CMC Markets Stockbroking today announces the launch of International share trading and Exchange Trade Options (ETO) features on its platforms, providing access to international markets including the US, Europe, Canada and Asia through one account.

The new features ensure CMC Markets clients have access to even more trading options, through leading multi-asset platforms conveniently accessible through one account. The International share trading feature allows seamless access to European, Asian and US markets, adding an additional 19,000 instruments to the platform including Equities, International ETFs and American depository receipts. These international markets are all accessible through CMC Markets’ Pro, standard platforms and dedicated mobile apps.

As the first fully integrated wholesale solution for financial planners, advisers and brokers can now use CMC’s Adviser Advantage platform to service their clients.

Named Canstar’s 2018 Online Share Trader – Broker of the Year, for the eighth year in a row, CMC Markets’ success is underpinned by continued investment, evolution and enhancement of its platforms for clients.

Andy Rogers, Director of Stockbroking, from CMC markets said: “The ability to offer domestic and international shares, on the same platform alongside ETFs, Options, mFunds and thousands of other products makes our platforms even more compelling for traders and investors. With significant uptake of our stockbroking platforms this year, enhancing the products and features available is key to our success and reinforces our promise and strategy to continue to provide a market-leading solution for our clients,” he said.

Andy Rogers believes International shares will be a popular feature, “By opening up international markets to our clients, we’re providing seamless access to the some of the largest markets globally including Europe, Asia and the US, significantly increasing the trading opportunities available.

“Accessing the broader market ensures clients can take advantage of trading major global brands like the tech giants in the US; enabling them to diversify their portfolio and protect their portfolios against major events in the local Australian market.

“The convenience of being able to access multiple assets and platforms through one account creates a powerful tool and will help our clients maximise their success,” he said.

Exchange Traded Options Continuing to provide state-of-the-art research and tools for clients, Exchange Traded Options (ETO) is a new feature that has been added to CMC Markets’ leading Pro platform, delivering a premium trading experience. The ETO feature provides strategy analytics modules, in-built trading strategies, margin calculations, and multi-leg option orders on single tickets, giving sophisticated traders the power to combine Options execution, reporting and analysis with their entire portfolio.

“CMC Markets unique, award-winning Stockbroking platform now allows traders to combine Options execution, reporting and analysis with their entire portfolio – creating a truly integrated offering for Pro platform traders,” Andy Rogers said.

The Investment Trends 2017 Second Half Online Broking Report found that retail active online investors are at an all-time high, with a strong sustained inflow of new investors and reactivated clients. The report also found CMC led in terms of client advocacy and had the highest level of recognition for innovation among its clients.

“As interest in share trading continues to grow, it’s important that CMC Markets continues to be the number one recommended provider among traders and that we’re known for our innovation. Enhancements like these new features, demonstrate our continued focus on innovation and the development of our platforms continues to drive satisfaction and ensure an exceptional trading experience for our growing client base.”
