Accellion Positioned in the leaders sector of the Aragon Research Globe™ for Mobile Content Management

Evaluation based on strategy, performance and reach

Palo Alto, CA November 20, 2015

Accellion, Inc., the leading provider of private cloud solutions for secure file sharing and collaboration that ensure data security and compliance, today announced that it has been positioned for the second consecutive year in the “Leaders” sector of the 2015 Aragon Research Globe™ for Mobile Content Management report. The Aragon Research Globe is a market evaluation tool that graphically depicts Aragon Research’s evaluation of a specific market and its component vendors.

This year, the report examined 19 providers in Mobile Content Management who were judged on three sets of criteria: strategy, performance and global reach. Based on the evaluation, companies were placed into one of four spheres: Leaders, Innovators, Specialists and Contenders.

“Accellion is well positioned to tackle the sensitive and compliance challenges that face the enterprise,” said Jim Lundy, CEO and Lead Analyst, Aragon Research. “The Company has continued its push to make its flagship offering kiteworks one of the most secure on the market, and in turn helped to make document security a must-have feature set of capabilities that others have emulated.”1

kiteworks provides secure, real-time universal mobile access to files stored in enterprise and cloud content stores without requiring a VPN. Users can easily and securely view, edit, upload, and share files, regardless of where they reside, without creating and storing duplicate copies in public cloud services. Popular content sources supported include: SharePoint, Windows File Shares (CIFS and DFS), Documentum, and OpenText, among others. kiteworks also offers connectivity to public cloud content stores such as Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, and OneDrive.

“This recognition reinforces our view that the ability to securely access and share enterprise content, whenever it’s needed and wherever it’s located, is a critical component to enterprise productivity,” commented Hormazd Romer, Senior Director of Product Marketing. “As organisations grow and their employees become increasingly mobile enabled, Accellion is uniquely positioned to enhance productivity while enabling BYOD security and compliance, all within the kiteworks secure content platform.”
