New Acronis Access Solutions Mobilise Businesses of all Sizes, Leverage Employee and Corporate Devices, and Safeguard Digital Assets

Acronis®, the global leader in new generation data protection, today announced the availability of Acronis Access 7 in Australia and New Zealand. Acronis Access 7 delivers a secure data access, sync and share edition for small to midsize businesses (SMBs) with a separate edition for larger enterprises.

The announcement is made at the first Acronis All-Asia & Emerging Markets Partner Summit being held in Singapore on November 20-21. More than 230 partners, along with seven from Australia, will learn about Acronis’ corporate and product strategy, focus on Asia markets with the opening of its new international headquarters in Singapore, and plans to help partners build and expand their businesses.

“There are tremendous opportunities for innovation and growth in the area of data protection, secure file access and sharing, and disaster recovery solutions across physical, virtual and cloud-based environments,” said Serguei Beloussov, CEO and co-founder of Acronis. “The aim of our Partner Summit is to highlight these important opportunities and engage with our partners to build our businesses together in this important market.”

Mobilising Small and Midsize Businesses (SMB)

Designed exclusively for SMBs, Acronis Access is the easiest mobile file access, sync and share solution for companies to buy, use and administer. The product allows employees to remain productive and efficient while travelling, enabling them to access and edit company documents without data leakage risk, easily share updated financial spreadsheets or presentations with their colleagues, and safely share content with customers, partners or prospects. Acronis understands that mobile devices have become an integral work environment component for productive and successful SMB organisations, changing the way to do business. In fact, 67 percent of SMBs view mobile solutions as critical to their businesses, and 83 percent have already deployed mobile apps to help improve employee productivity.

“Acronis Access serves as a secure alternative to cloud solutions and allows sensitive business content to remain on premises and be shared under IT control,” said Terri McClure, ESG Senior Analyst. “And SMB organisations that can’t afford more in-depth and complex mobile device management capabilities will appreciate having built-in core functionality.”

Supporting Enterprise Requirements

Specifically designed for enterprise organisations, Acronis Access Advanced is the easiest access, sync, and share solution for enterprise users, providing IT administrators with complete control over the company’s data and files through:

• Active Directory integration for seamless user management;

• Highly granular management capabilities for security policies and content control and compliance;

• Audit log for visibility on content access, edition and share;

• Certified encryption to meet stringent regulatory standards;

• Enhanced authentication to improve security

Acronis Access Advanced improves employee and team productivity by offering an easy and intuitive user interface, the ability to edit Microsoft® Office documents and annotate PDF files, and to securely share critical content with internal and/or external users. Best suited for larger organisations with established IT departments, Acronis Access Advanced can scale to any number of users and support an unlimited number of access servers. In addition, the product integrates seamlessly with leading mobile device management (MDM) solutions. “Acronis is innovating and delivering new cloud and secure file access and share solutions – and we’re working closely with partners to develop their businesses. Today, with these new Acronis Access solutions, Acronis has solid products, strategy and plans and is much more than a backup provider,” said Jan-Jaap Jager, EVP of APJ & Emerging Markets at Acronis. “APJ & Emerging Markets are the growth drivers for Acronis and we want to make sure we are making all the right investments to ensure our partners’ success.” Availability and Pricing
