ASUS Announces New Android Tablets in Australia
Sydney, Australia (30 June 2014) — First revealed at Computex, ASUS today announced the launch of the new generation MeMO Pad 7 and Transformer Pad TF103 in Australia. The latest additions to the ASUS tablet lineup feature the intuitive ASUS ZenUI, a 64-bit Intel® Atom™ quad-core CPU and the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
ASUS MeMO Pad 7 (ME176C)
The new ASUS MeMO Pad 7 features the advanced 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor (up to 1.86GHz) that provides powerful, efficient performance for smooth web surfing and fast app loading.
Featuring 7-inch 1280 x 800 HD IPS display, MeMO Pad ME176C provides highly detailed, crystal-clear images. The tablet also serves as a portable wireless entertainment hub, with Miracast support allowing users to stream multimedia content to compatible external displays, plus CSR’s aptX® audio coding for wireless CD-quality audio streaming to Bluetooth headsets or speakers. Users can also take excellent images with the tablets’ 2-megapixel front-facing and 5-megapixel rear-facing camera.
One of the standout features of the MeMO Pad 7 is the design and build, which offers great user experience. The MeMO Pad 7 combines a narrow bezel design and tactile smooth casing in a compact and lightweight 295gm package. The tablet is available in a choice of five vibrant colours – Red, Blue, Yellow, Black and White.
ASUS Transformer Pad (TF103C)
The new ASUS Transformer Pad TF103 features a mobile keyboard dock with a hidden hinge design, and is powered by the latest 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor (up to 1.86GHz). The tablet measures just 257.4 x 178.4 x 9.9mm, and is slightly thicker at 19.8mm when docked. The new keyboard dock has ergonomic chiclet keys with 1.9mm of key travel, and includes intuitive one-touch function keys for common tasks like Delete or Screen Grab.
The Transformer Pad TF103C has an HD 1280 x 800 display with IPS technology for 170-degree wide viewing angles. This improves on colour accuracy for more vibrant hues, with minimal colour shift even when viewed from extreme angles.
It also has dual-band 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi giving fast, reliable connections for a smoother online experience, while integrated GPS and GLONASS receivers provide fast, location services with pinpoint accuracy.
