Axios Systems Delivers Service Catalogue Solution for New Zealand Department of Conservation.

NZ DOC to implement assyst to optimise business process efficiency and enhance customer service.

Wellington, New Zealand – 2 July 2012 – Axios Systems, the leading provider of IT Service Management (ITSM) and pioneer in automated ITIL support, today announced that the New Zealand Department of Conservation (DOC) has selected its assyst® enterprise ITSM software solution to optimise business process efficiency, enhance customer service and help reduce the overall costs of support services.

From 1 July 2012 DOC will implement a new organisational structure. Key to this is the centralisation of support functions into 'shared service centres'. Axios’ s assyst® Service Catalogue will support the new model - providing a centralised tool for the request and management of a range of support services. These include legal services, geospatial services, payroll, publishing, statutory land management planning, supplier management and scientific support and advice.

DOC is New Zealand's central government organisation responsible for managing conservation of natural and historic heritage. The Department manages approx 30% of New Zealand - approximately 8.5 million hectares of lands, 33 marine reserves and six marine mammal sanctuaries. They provide policy and legal advice to the Minister of Conservation and contribute to whole-of government policy processes.

assyst® will coordinate service requests between national office, five service centres and 55 offices located around New Zealand. Around 400 staff will use the system to manage the delivery of services to approximately 1,800 internal staff. The system provides a framework for requesting and managing work, supports standardised support and service delivery and will provide important management information to the organisation.
