Fujitsu announces their first entry into the Desktop PC Market
Sydney Australia, November 22, 2011 – A world class leader in client computing, Fujitsu today announces the release of ten new PCs, marking
their first foray into the Australian desktop market. The models available at launch are the Esprimo E series, P series, Q series, C series and D series, each built on the new Huron River platform and designed to appeal to businesses of varying
needs. The models are broadly categorised into those with vPro technology and those without , with various configuration. RRP for the models range from $1288 for the ESPRIMO E-series.
“Previously we only offered notebooks under
the LIFEBOOK brand for the Australian market” explains Bert Noah, Country
Manager for Fujitsu PC Australia “We see an opportunity right now to
bring in our ESPRIMO brand for desktops as a natural progression to completing
our computing range. By releasing over 10 different models shows our long
term commitment and investment into this market”
Superior Design
Across all systems, there are a number of features and design aspects that
are universal. No matter which system a business chooses to employ, the RAM
options vastly outweigh what you would expect from other desktop PCs on the
market. Rather than limit the system with only two DIMM slots, the Esprimo
range come with at least four slots as standard. While the entry models
come with 4GB of RAM, those requiring more computing power can expand that
to a maximum of 32GB.
One of the biggest
concerns when updating an office to new PC technology is the need to also
update all the office peripherals as well. For those with older printers and
monitors, Fujitsu has included backward compatible options with both Serial
and Parallel ports. The motherboard is equipped with a DVI port to connect
to modern monitors but even older monitors can be connected without the need
for an adapter. In fact, for work environments that require two monitors side
by side, you can even connect a DVI and D-sub monitor at the same time via
the extended desktop mode in Windows.
The range is also designed to fit into
a commercial environment thanks to its durable black chassis. In the past,
Fujitsu PCs have come with a white chassis but with the new range it was found
that a black was a far superior option due to its ability to resist dirt and
discolouration. The chassis can also be opened without the need for
tools for fast and easy upgrading and maintenance.
The Benefits of Intel vPro
When choosing between the two
models, the benefits of the Q67 chipset cannot be overlooked. Available
on certain ESPRIMO models, vPro allows for a great range of features, highly
valuable for corporate users. The Active Management, Anti-Theft , Trusted
Execution and Virtualisation technologies are essential in a corporate environment
where control over each PC is key to a productive and cost effective workplace.
Fujitsu
PC Australia will also incorporate their nationwide service centres to accommodate
the ESPRIMO range for warranty and repairs and will be distributed by Bluechip
Infotech and Multimedia Technology.
