Axway joins The Consumer Goods Forum

Company to collaborate with CPG retailers and manufacturers worldwide to develop and lead implementation of best practices

SYDNEY, June 16, 2011. Axway, the Business Interaction Networks company, announced today that it has joined The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF), a global organisation of retailers, manufacturers and suppliers dedicated to developing common positions on key strategic and operational issues affecting the consumer goods industry.

As a member of the CGF community, Axway will be working alongside CEOs and senior executives from more than 650 retailers, manufacturers and service providers from over 70 countries, to address industry challenges facing companies on a global scale. Axway will provide its members with solutions and infrastructures that support and promote industry best practices.

The CGF provides Axway with a unique global platform for knowledge exchange and initiatives around five strategic priorities – Emerging Trends, Sustainability, Safety & Health, Operational Excellence and Knowledge Sharing & People Development. Axway will have the opportunity to take away and apply best practices from the diverse group of industry executives, resulting in better service to customers in the manufacturing, retail and logistics sectors.

“Complex ecosystems, distributors, third-party logistics companies, retailers and group purchasing organisations where information gaps can result in unpredictable demand continue to make managing and executing supply chains a challenge for manufacturers and retailers worldwide,” said Joe Fisher, EVP global marketing, Axway.

“As a member of the CGF, our primary goal is to collaborate with peers to better understand how we can help our customers address and overcome today’s supply chain challenges. Our decision to join the CGF further highlights our commitment to providing customers with the knowledge and solutions that help them create competitive and efficient supply chains.”

Axway provides retailers and manufacturers worldwide with innovative solutions to manage, run, secure and monitor supply chain interactions. Axway’s technology improves the speed, accuracy and efficiency of all business interactions with end-to-end visibility, robust community management, reliable data integration and exchange throughout the entire supply chain—from the sourcing of raw material through to the point of sale.
