Mindjet seminars to address business productivity concerns

'Quantum Leaps in Enterprise Productivity'

SYDNEY – May 16, 2011 – Responding to growing concerns about business productivity levels, Mindjet®, the leading provider of software and web-based applications for visually organising and managing information and ideas, is to launch a series of seminars on ‘Quantum Leaps in Enterprise Productivity’.

The first of these will take place at Cliftons Melbourne on May 31 and Cliftons Sydney on June 1, each beginning at 1.30pm.

Mindjet General Manager, Asia Pacific and Japan, Cameron Ackbury, said: “The tour squarely addresses a looming business issue; according to the Telstra Productivity Indicator 2011 76 per cent of large Australian organisations view boosting productivity as a top priority. Not surprisingly Gartner research predicts that business intelligence software will remain one of the fastest-growing software segments this year ‘as enterprises bid to cut costs and boost productivity’.”

Mindjet’s seminar series is targeted at business executives looking to improve both personal and team productivity. Keynote speaker Lis Faenza has more than a decade’s experience at executive level in delivering sales and personal development presentations. She will discuss the void that exists in evidence-based approaches to performance and productivity management.

Gayan Peiris, a Collaboration Technology Specialist at Microsoft Australia, will present on MS Office and Productivity. Gayan drives the awareness and adoption of Productivity and Information Management solutions based on the Microsoft Platform. Gayan has written many articles, reviews and columns, and is a contributing author for a SharePoint book. He received the Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for his contribution to Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server technology.

William Cornwill, a Collaboration Platform Technology Solutions Professional with Microsoft Australia, will present on ‘The Future of Productivity’. William has an MCTS in SharePoint 2010, Configuration and MCITP in SharePoint Administrator 2010.

Debbie Ireland, Managing Director of EnvisionIT and a Microsoft MVP, will present on ‘Game-changing tips for SharePoint users’. Advanced users will be shown the latest MindManager developments and learn how they will further boost productivity.

There will be a separate track for beginners, who will experience the short learning curve for using information mapping in every-day activities. Beginners will discover how to improve strategic planning, project management, information management and presentations.

Mindjet’s cornerstone solution, MindManager, is an interactive information mapping software that lets business professionals capture and visually organise ideas, information and schedules so they can move quickly from concepts and questions to clear communications, coherent strategies and prioritised project plans.
