Mindjet establishes regional team and sets 80 per cent expansion goal for Australia

Strategic focus on solutions that complement Microsoft applications

SYDNEY (Australian SharePoint Conference), March 8, 2011. Mindjet, whose interactive business productivity solutions let business professionals easily capture and visually organise ideas, information and schedules, announced its local team as part of an 80 per cent growth strategy in Australia for 2011, at the Australian SharePoint Conference.

The year-on-year growth target underpins a corporate strategy marked by new products, investment, leadership and a strategic focus on solutions that complement Microsoft applications. In a separate release Mindjet announced two new products today - MindManager® Explorer for SharePoint® and MindManager® Mapshare™ - that enhance use of the popular Microsoft web solution.

Abe Smith, Mindjet Regional Vice President, Americas and Asia Pacific, said: “We are increasing our investment and resources in Australia as growth in the country is integral to our success in the Asia Pacific region. We are pleased to announce that we have added seasoned professionals Cameron Ackbury in General Manager Asia Pacific and Japan, and Conor O’Gorman as Channel Manager.” Conor will head the country’s channel efforts based out of Sydney.

Cameron Ackbury said: “The thrust of our efforts will focus on strengthening and invigorating Mindjet’s channel partnerships through events, education and raised awareness.”

The company’s plans will also promote its Microsoft integration which helps users get more value out of Microsoft applications by augmenting their portfolio with Mindjet solutions. “Our products facilitate easier organisation and better collaboration of the information stored on SharePoint and other Office applications,” said Ackbury. “Advanced integration between MindManager and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and Project amplifies the power of the SharePoint platform.”

He added: “SharePoint enjoys tremendous adoption throughout Australia’s enterprises, as well as small to medium businesses. MindManager provides users with an easier visual way to aggregate SharePoint content for better review of information and follow-up.”

Mindjet’s marketing strategy was launched today with its presence at the Australian SharePoint Conference. Future events are planned throughout the region to demonstrate to Australian knowledge workers how they can become more productive with business productivity applications in the workplace.

John England, Managing Director of Australian Master Distributor, Mindsystems, said: "We are excited to be supporting Mindjet at the SharePoint Conference. It’s clear that SharePoint’s cloud-based solution represents the future and is very important for the entire spectrum of Australian business."
