Ping Identity taps Venn IT GM for Asia Pacific channel role

Identity management vendor Ping Identity has appointed Ashley Diffey as its first channel and alliance manager for the Asia Pacific region.
Diffey joins from Venn IT Solutions where he was a general manager for less than a year having established the company’s Victorian branch in Melbourne and expanded the company’s portfolio of customers.
He brings extensive experience in the industry and in channel roles. He worked for Westcon Group as a national account manager in 2011, he also held channel roles with Commvault in Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) for four years.
Diffey then joined F5 Networks where he was first a partner manager for Telstra later becoming the channel manager.
"Ashley has a background of contributing to and building successful channel engagements," said Geoff Andrews, APAC regional director at Ping Identity. "He joins Ping Identity at a significant time in our strategy to expand the market footprint of our identity and access management solutions.
"At the same time, his considerable experience and industry skills will support our partners in creating market momentum and winning relationships with their customers."
Ping Identity's Australian headcount grew over 30 per cent in the past year, and has more than doubled in the past two years, according to Andrews.
In A/NZ, Ping Identity works with more than 10 channel partners and has customers across the public and private sector.
Australia is the current base for all of Ping Identity's APAC operations and encompasses sales, consulting, partner management as well as customer success, training and technical support teams.
Meanwhile, New Zealand is currently served by both of local and global partners with support from the Australian team.
