Citrix appoints new global channel chief

Bronwyn Hastings tasked with shaping go-to-market partner strategy

Citrix has appointed Bronwyn Hastings as new global leader of channels, tasked with driving digital workspace solutions growth through the partner ecosystem.

With a responsibility for partner sales worldwide, Hastings is also tasked with shaping go-to-market partner programs and partner marketing for all Citrix products.

The software vendor’s partner ecosystem houses more than 10,000 solution advisors, service providers and global system integrators, in addition to independent software vendors (ISVs) and value-added distributors.

“Our partner ecosystem is among the most powerful in the industry and Bronwyn is uniquely positioned to enhance this network and the programs and services that we provide to help companies accelerate their digital transformations and power a better way to work,” said Mark Ferrer, executive vice president at Citrix.

Drawing on more than 25 years of in-market experience, Hastings joins Citrix following eight years at SAP, most recently serving as senior vice president of global business development and ecosystems.

Prior to this, Hastings ran the vendor’s channel business across Asia Pacific and Greater China, having also spent 15 years at Oracle in various senior leadership roles.

“Citrix has a compelling vision for the future of work,” Hastings added. “I am eager to collaborate with our incredible community of partners to provide companies with the solutions and services they need to make this vision a reality.”

Diane Fanelli, who served as interim channel leader since July, will work alongside Hastings to ensure a “seamless leadership transition”.

The global appointment comes four months after Citrix recruited Manish Sharma as vice president of partner sales across Asia Pacific and Japan, amid a double channel hire in the region.

Effective from July, Singapore-based Sharma is responsible for driving growth through the vendor’s partner ecosystem, spanning value-added resellers, managed service providers and system integrators.

Meanwhile, Srinivas Nadesan assumed the role of regional channel director of Asia - spanning ASEAN and Korea - at Citrix, reporting directly to Sharma. Sharma spent the last 15 years working as a technology partner of Citrix, leading sales operations of NComputing and Wyse across the region.
