Veritas Technologies has appointed James Leong as new country manager of Singapore following an internal promotion at the data management vendor.
In the newly expanded role, Leong is responsible for leading Veritas’ overall business strategy, in addition to driving sales operations and growth in the city-state.

Leveraging enterprise market experience, Leong joined Veritas from Symantec, where he helped achieve “significant growth” for the vendor’s public sector business. Prior to Symantec, Leong worked for IBM Singapore, leading the IBMx86 server business for more than eight years.
