Aryaka has appointed Mario Vecchio as senior vice president of Asia Pacific as the SD-WAN provider builds out a regional channel footprint.
The California-based vendor specialises in WAN optimisation, cloud networking and connectivity, delivered through an expanding base of channel partners.
Melbourne-based Vecchio - who joins from Big Switch Networks - is tasked with leading the charge in Asia Pacific, which includes “enhancing the structure” of a global partner program, in addition to improving partner enablement and overseeing recruitment.
“As the newest addition to our robust leadership team, Mario will play a critical role in growing Aryaka’s business,” said Karen Freitag, chief revenue officer at Aryaka.
“Our strategy is to accelerate our growth in the Asia Pacific region, and we will do that through our strategic partnerships and Mario’s unmatched experience in the managed services and networking industries.”
Prior to Big Switch, Vecchio founded Progility Technologies, serving as chairman and CEO for more than seven years. During this period, Vecchio grew the business to house 800 employees and $180 million in revenue, with over 30 offices around the globe.
“Aryaka is the clear leader in the managed SD-WAN space and its technology is a game-changer for enterprises making their digital transformation journeys,” Vecchio added. “I’m excited to be joining the company at such a pivotal stage in Aryaka’s evolution.
"I look forward to supporting and expanding our existing customer base and nurturing our essential channel partners in the region.”
From a channel perspective, Aryaka goes to market through value-added resellers, system integrators and distributors, alongside in-market master agent agreements.
