Ingram Micro has been appointed as an Autodesk distributor in Singapore as the software vendor builds out a local channel.
Autodesk specialises in the creation of 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, targeting designers, architects, engineers and media and entertainment professionals.
“Providing a full suite of solutions that meet the needs of our partners and help them to extend their reach to their customers is a top priority,” said Francis Choo, vice president and chief country executive of ASEAN and Hong Kong at Ingram Micro.
“Autodesk’s market leading solutions allow architects and engineers, among others, to work from anywhere, enabling transformational designs. Aligned to our focus on workplace transformation solutions, Autodesk’s key function of mobility and team collaboration will further enhance our aggregated solution to the partners and the value to their customers.”
According to Ronald Schepers - head of channel sales across ASEAN at Autodesk - the vendor is seeking to roll-out AutoCAD and Open products in Singapore through the channel.
“A vital part of our strategy is to grow and manage our customer base through nurturing key partnerships with industry leaders,” Schepers added. “With Ingram Micro’s broad breadth of customers, resellers and their unique capabilities, we are confident in the expansion of our reach through their extensive partner ecosystem.”
The appointment comes less than a week after Ingram Micro signed a distribution agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Hong Kong and Macau, as part of plans to roll out cloud solutions through the channel.
Terms of the alliance will see Ingram Micro join the AWS Distribution Program, allowing partners to access a "broad range of highly scalable and cost effective cloud services".
