NTT has appointed Andy Cocks as chief go-to-market officer at a global level, tasked with leading sales operations and partner relationships worldwide.

Cocks - who will be relocating from Singapore to the UK - joins the global executive team after leading NTT’s go-to-market business in Asia Pacific, alongside holding the role of chief technology officer.

“Andy’s appointment to the global executive team is reflective of his world-class contribution to our business and the global technology industry as a whole by leading the go-to-market team with great success in the Asia Pacific region,” said Jason Goodall, global CEO of NTT. “Our go-to-market strategy over the coming months will be a core component of the new NTT as we come together as one company.

“I know Andy will lead his team to success as we take our unparallel capabilities to market and help clients around the world do great things every day.”

In leveraging more than 30 years of industry experience, Goodall said Cocks played an “instrumental role” in shaping NTT’s technology focus areas across “businesses, cities and societies”.

Prior to joining NTT, Cocks headed up Equant’s field services team in Asia, in addition to holding the position of head of regional network planning at American Express.

“I’m extremely proud to lead NTT’s go-to-market team into this new and exciting era,” Cocks added. “Together, we’ve created a company that boasts industry-leading products, solutions, and managed services.

"It’s important we take these to market in the right way, partnering with our clients around the world as they make use of our full range of capabilities and help to build the most innovative cities and societies. NTT is going to do great things and I can’t wait to get started in the new role.”

NTT recently unveiled the leaders tasked with spearheading market expansion in Asia Pacific as the technology giant embarks on a new era of growth across the region.

Three months since launching at a global level, Channel Asia exclusively revealed that the business announced 29 executive appointments in Asia Pacific, spanning two regional chiefs, 14 in-country directors, 11 business unit heads and two subsidiary leaders.

“It’s an honour to be leading Asia Pacific into this exciting new era where we join hands to build a connected, and more sustainable tomorrow,” said John Lombard, CEO of Asia Pacific at NTT, speaking at the time of the announcement. “The appointees have been selected to lead NTT in Asia Pacific based on their strong track records and exceptional capabilities.

“Building on an already strong foundation of global talent, global brand trust and core NTT values, I’m extremely confident that the team will be able to deliver intelligent solutions that address our clients’ transformational challenges worldwide.”
