Igel has appointed Westpac as software distributor in Southeast Asia and South Korea in a bid to drive cloud workspace adoption through the channel.
The German vendor delivers unified endpoint management software specific to enterprise customers, with expertise in thin client software and hardware.
"Westpac has built an impressive reputation in the region over the past decade, initially in its semi-conductor and electric components sector and latterly in the cloud computing space with its partnership with companies such as Teradici, AMD, Leostream and now Igel,” said Leigh Howard, sales director of International, IGEL.
“The combination of Igel’s world-leading software products and Westpac’s knowledge of Korea and Southeast Asia puts us in a strong position to expand on the staggering success we are already having in North America and Europe.”
According to Howard, the vendor has been experiencing customer wins in healthcare, retail, financial services, federal government and manufacturing sectors. Such sales have been fuelled by “alignment and integration” with Citrix, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services and VMware.
