SolarWinds has rolled out a new Passportal promotion designed to help managed service providers (MSPs) leverage market development funds (MDF).
The initiative allows partners to offer private, branded password management as-a-service through the vendor’s Passportal Site, in addition to building new recurring revenue streams through MDF.
Passportal helps MSPs reduce daily operational challenges by automating the management of customers’ passwords and credentials, delivered through a "safe, co-managed solution".
“The new MDF promotion, designed to accelerate password management as a service for MSPs, is a win-win for us and our partners,” said Colin Knox, director of product strategy, SolarWinds Passportal. “MSPs typically support small- to medium-sized businesses that really grapple with how to keep things like passwords straight, much less all the things they have to do to keep their businesses running.”
Knox said Passportal Site gives MSPs the ability to “centralise and safeguard” corporate and personal passwords, set up folders to organise and categorise passwords and manage all employee data access rights.
This is in addition to receiving notifications of all passwords known by departing employees and cut access, generating "strong and unique" passwords, logging in to saved websites with one click and running audits and reports internally.
