Nutanix and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) are calling on channel partners to drive GreenLake market momentum following general availability of HPE ProLiant DX series appliances in Asia.
Both vendors have embarked on a 15-city reseller tour to ramp up interest, spanning Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, in addition to Australia, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan, Korea and Japan.
The roll-out comes five months after the announcement of a global partnership designed to deliver a worldwide integrated hybrid cloud as-a-service (aaS) solution amid increased hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) demand.
A primary component of the alliance - which competes directly with Dell Technologies and VMware - is the newly developed ProLiant DX appliance series, built with HPE servers and factory installed Nutanix software, for on-premise operations.
“The HPE ProLiant DX series puts Asian enterprises in the driving seat,” said Matt Young, senior vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan, Nutanix.
“As international competition intensifies and the threat of a global economic slowdown continues, Asia’s enterprises will rely more and more on a future ready infrastructure to provide the efficiencies and productivity required to survive and thrive. Nutanix and HPE are providing the ideal means to help them do just that.”
According to Young, HCI adoption continues to increase across Asia as businesses replace aging IT infrastructure in favour of “cloud ready architecture”.
“We are already seeing high levels of excitement and interest from local customers and partners now that Nutanix is available on HPE ProLiant DX,” added Avinash Gowda, country manager of Malaysia, Nutanix.
“Businesses understand that their technology infrastructure is no longer fit for purpose and cannot simply be ‘patched’ or tinkered with. DX now provides them with the means to modernise their data centre on their terms: with the hardware and software platform of their choice.”
The deployment forms part of a continuing channel investment in Asia by Nutanix, following recent distributor and reseller agreements, backed by strategic partnerships and alliances.
