Honeywell has launched a new program designed for independent software vendors (ISV) as part of plans to roll out software solutions through the channel.
The global program aims to offer ISVs access to an ecosystem housing distributors and value-added resellers, with specialist expertise in mobility, scanners, printers and voice solutions.
“Having an end-to-end hardware and software solution set offers a much broader value proposition to our customers, and we’re looking to partner with leading software innovators to help them maximise their investments,” said Lori Haggart, director of software innovation at Honeywell.
According to Haggart, the ISV Partner Program forms a key part of Honeywell’s “software transformation”, as the vendor places “significant investment” in partnerships with software vendors, universities and incubators to create new solutions for industrial customers.
Partners can also place software in the Honeywell Marketplace, an enterprise application store created to allow customers to find tailored solutions.
Currently hosting more than 80 applications, Haggart said the marketplace manages the billing process, “eliminating the need” for software vendors to invest in back-end payment and invoicing systems.
“Our ISV Partner Program helps solidify our value proposition and gives software vendors the opportunity to open new revenue streams by teaming with a globally-recognised Fortune 100 brand,” Haggart added.
Other key features of the program include open API access and dedicated account management, alongside product discounts and demos and improved deal registration.
