FPT Software has partnered with system integrator ThinkPower to distribute akaBot and akaChain solutions in Taiwan.
Terms of the agreement will see the Taiwanese-based solution provider distribute and implement FPT’s akaBot and akaChain offerings for finance customers across the country.
Representing Vietnam-based FPT’s first overseas agent agreement, the partnership also has the potential to expand sales and services implementation across other sectors in the future.
Specifically, akaBot is a robotic process automation (RPA) solution designed to help automate repetitive business processes such as data entry, order filing, access rights and permission granting. Currently, the offering has been deployed in Japan, Korea and the UK, alongside pilot runs from select Vietnamese banks.
Meanwhile, akaChain is a platform leveraging blockchain technology and smart contracts to offer businesses “scalable, secure and customisable solutions” in areas such as customer relationship management (CRM), asset traceability, and know-your-customer (KYC).
The solution has so far been rolled out across multiple sectors spanning finance, insurance, retail and supply chain management and was most recently used to develop a loyalty customer relationship system for an unnamed Taiwanese finance customer.
“The applications of RPA technology has gained ground recently, helping eliminate repetitive tasks in finance, banking and insurance sectors,” said Do Van Khac, director of FPT Digital Processing Services. “The partnership with ThinkPower would enable FPT Software to expand our customer base for akaBot and akaChain in Taiwan”.
Founded in 2005, Taipei City-based ThinkPower houses more than 250 employees and works with 70 per cent of businesses within the banking and insurance sectors in Taiwan.
According to Ben Yao - founder and CEO of ThinkPower - plans are also in place for both parties to become “strategic partners” in digital transformation.
