FPT Software has partnered with Airbus to support the set-up of the Skywise Customer Experience Centre at the manufacturer’s new regional hub in Singapore.
Terms of the deal will see the Vietnamese technology provider undertake the early development of applications and services for airlines in the region.
Skywise is an open data platform developed by Airbus targeting the aviation industry, with FPT the first technology company in Southeast Asia to participate in the development in December 2017.
FPT has delivered positive results more than a year after implementing the Skywise project - billed as the heart of Airbus’ digital transformation strategy - through the "collection, standardisation and integration" of data from more than 30 airlines in 15 countries worldwide.
In June, FPT signed an agreement with Airbus to become one of the first Skywise certified partners, tasked with driving digital collaboration across the global aviation industry.
The subsidiary of Vietnam-headquartered FPT Corporation joined four other businesses as launch partners of the program, including Accenture, Capgemini, IBM and Sopra Steria.
Airbus’s selection criteria of certified partners include companies with global presence, familiarity with Skywise technology, high-quality human resources, existing business with airlines and existing business relationships with the European aircraft maker.
