
Matthew Gyde (NTT Security)
NTT has appointed Matthew Gyde as CEO of NTT Security as the specialist provider transitions into a newly formed technology giant.
Effective immediately, Gyde was most recently group executive of security at Dimension Data, where he developed and executed global strategy while maintaining overall profitably of the security business.
Leveraging almost 25 years of cyber security expertise, Gyde’s experience spans client environments, carriers, manufacturers as well as system integration and services companies.
“Without doubt, it is an exciting time to be working for the NTT brand to bring together our global capabilities,” said Gyde, who replaces Katsumi Nakata in the role. “My job now is to deliver against our security strategy and value proposition which positions intelligent cyber security as central to NTT in helping our clients ensure they are secure by design.
“NTT Security has some of the best security experts in the world, and I am a great believer in harnessing the ideas and innovative thinking of the extended team.

Prior to joining Dimension Data, Gyde - who reports into Jason Goodall, CEO of NTT - was sales director at SurfControl Asia, a cloud-based content control company. He also worked at Secure Computing in various capacities ranging from technical director of Asia to regional sales manager of ASEAN.
“As someone who has worked closely with Matthew over the past several years, I am confident he is the right person to ensure we have a sustainable and profitable security business,” Goodall added. “He has proven over time that he has an unrivalled understanding of security so I am delighted that I will get to continue working with him.”
As reported by Channel Asia, NTT officially launched to the world on 1 July as a global technology giant housing the capabilities of 28 companies.
Headquartered in London, the $11 billion business is spearheaded by Jason Goodall and comprises of NTT Communications, Dimension Data and NTT Security, employing around 40,000 staff in offices across more than 70 countries and regions.
Channel Asia also confirmed that John Lombard has been named as CEO of Asia Pacific. Effective 1 July, Lombard is responsible for NTT’s global business in Asia Pacific, excluding Japan and Australia.
Lombard joined Dimension Data as the Asia Pacific CEO in May 2016, coming on-board from SAP, where he was senior vice president and head of services, responsible for services and support.
