Pure Storage has unveiled a new distributor program in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) alongside the addition of three new distributors across the region.

Unveiled during the vendor’s first APJ Distributor Summit in Singapore, new distributors include Exclusive Networks in Indonesia, SB C&S, a division of Softbank Group in Japan and Bestcom in Taiwan.

“There are a number of factors for Pure’s success and these include our disruptive all-flash innovations, our commitment to customer success and the best partner programs in the industry,” said Scott Goree, director of global distribution at Pure Storage.

“To continue to grow and scale, we need to have the right distribution partners, in the right markets, with the right skills, drive and commitment, to maximise the exciting opportunities ahead. This program ensures we will retain and attract the partners who recognise the value of closer alignment with Pure and share our commitment to hyper growth and market share gains.”

According to Goree, the program was designed in consultation with distributors across the vendor’s channel and was introduced to the market in EMEA and Latin America earlier this year.

“We’re honoured to be working with Pure Storage in the Indonesia market,” added Rudy Manurung, country manager of Exclusive Networks Indonesia. “Exclusive Network’s mission is to be the ‘go to’ disruptive distributor for vendors that provide leading-edge cybersecurity, networking and infrastructure technology solutions to enterprises of all sizes.

“Pure Storage certainly fits that bill, they disrupted the storage industry 10 years ago by bringing all-flash to the enterprise market and they continue to disrupt the sector with new technologies.”

Delving deeper, the new program is designed to add a “strategic layer” of support and enablement for distributors to drive growth, add scale and extend Pure’s reach into new markets and sectors.

“SB C&S is pleased to have signed a distributor agreement with Pure Storage in Japan and look forward to building a strong relationship,” said Takase Shoichi, director of senior managing executive officer at SB C&S.

“As a distributor, we will promote collaboration between our two companies in accordance with the Pure Storage Partner Program. Together with our partners, we intend to provide value to our customers through Pure Storage’s data solutions.”

Created in consultation with existing distributors, the new program also includes business development incentives supplemented with ongoing program investments, marketing support and access to Pure’s systems, tools and processes.

“BestCom is happy to become a distribution partner for Pure Storage in Taiwan as Pure continues expanding its technologies in the data solutions space, providing us with more opportunities to improve the experience for our customers,” added Jassy Liu, chairman of BestCom.

The regional launch comes weeks after Andrew Fisher was appointed as vice president of channels and alliances across APJ at Pure, joining the vendor following nine years with Dimension Data.

As revealed by Channel Asia, Fisher is tasked with building out the vendor’s channel ecosystem across the region, spanning value-added resellers, system integrators and managed service providers. Fisher joins the business from Dimension Data, following nine years as regional director based in Queensland, Australia.
