Cohesity has appointed William Ho as new vice president of sales across Asia Pacific (APAC), in a move designed to help regional customers overcome data fragmentation challenges.
In response to rising challenges around data fragmentation, the vendor works to consolidate data silos and applications onto a single platform.
The aim is to enable customers across the region to increase IT efficiency, reduce costs and compliance challenges.

Ho has more than 20 years of enterprise technology experience, most recently as the senior vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) at ARRIS, which he first joined in 2017 through the acquisition of Ruckus, where he worked as vice president of APJ since 2013.
At ARRIS, he was in charge of the vendor’s service provider and enterprise business, based out of Hong Kong.
Prior to Ruckus, Ho worked for Cisco for nearly nine years, firstly as the managing director of mobile service providers across APJ, before assuming senior roles within the Chinese market, holding the position of senior vice president of Cisco China until 2014.
Ho also worked for Bell Northern Research before it became Nortel Networks, serving the company as director of wireless solutions across APAC, and then as managing director of Intelligent Business Unit regionally, overseeing the vendor's enterprise networking business.
As more organisations across the region continue to upgrade and in some cases replace legacy infrastructure due to the ongoing pursuit of digital transformation, Cohesity has seen an opportunity for growth through the channel.
