ViewSonic has been awarded Google for Education Partner status following certification of the technology provider’s myViewBoard platform.
Generating approximately $1 billion in global sales annually, ViewSonic specialises in visual display technology, with a strong focus on liquid-crystal displays, projectors and digital whiteboards.
In joining the Google for Education ecosystem, myViewBoard Classroom joins a network which consists of certified educators, tools and technologies.
“We are thrilled to be recognised by Google for Education for our efforts in the education segment,” said Bonny Cheng, president of Global Product Group at ViewSonic. “This partnership further validates our alignment toward developing complete solutions that deliver concrete benefits in the classroom.”
Going forward, Cheng said ViewSonic remains “committed to developing meaningful solutions”, targeting educators and schools across Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
“Looking ahead, we will continue developing innovative and effective solutions for educators and students alike, and help foster a world where technology in the classroom is the norm, but more importantly, is accessible to as many people as possible,” Cheng added.
Operating as an American Taiwanese multi-national, ViewSonic has presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, in addition to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Myanmar across ASEAN.
In Singapore, the technology provider is distributed by Kaira Technologies and Excel, alongside e-store access through Qoo10 and Lazada.
“myViewBoard Classroom is a dynamic platform that offers educators easy access to their tools, assignments, courses, and documents in one place, with the added bonus of having an open, agnostic, and secure digital whiteboard at their fingertips,” Cheng explained.
“Having everything in one place is of tremendous value to educators as it lessens their need to access multiple platforms for teaching and assessment. myViewBoard Classroom is a one-stop shop for preparing, presenting, participating, and performance reviews.”
