Channel Asia has launched 30 Under 30 Tech Awards in Singapore, designed to showcase the brightest young technology minds across ASEAN.
Whether already in positions of leadership, or starting out down the career path, these awards aim to champion the next generation of talent coming up through the ranks.
Individuals will be recognised for outstanding achievements across six categories, spanning management; entrepreneur; sales; marketing; technical and human resources.
To enter, individuals must be based in ASEAN; be 30 years of age or younger and have at least two years of industry experience.
Individuals can either self-nominate, or be nominated by an industry peer, with submissions assessed by a judging panel assembled by Channel Asia, comprising of leading technology executives.
Key dates around nominations and the awards ceremony will be announced in due course, with the 30 Under 30 Tech Awards set to take place in the later half of 2019.
Nominations can be submitted by a colleague, an employee, employer or business partner, or individuals can self-nominate.
Channel Asia encourages vendor, distributor and partner organisations to identify internal young talent and help recognise their achievements across the wider industry.
The move follows the recent launch of Women in ICT Asia (WIICTA) in Singapore to promote gender diversity and inclusion in the technology industry.
Unveiled to a jam-packed room of vendors, distributors and partners, WIICTA recognises the professional achievements of female talent in IT, while facilitating mentoring and networking with the leading female role models of the channel.
More than 100 attendees gathered at Conrad Centennial in Singapore to hear industry champions as keynotes and panelists, discussing leadership paths, career choices and growth.
