“Adding VMware to our portfolio in Vietnam enables us to deliver cloud and virtualisation solutions and services that accelerate our partners’ success and help their customers unlock the advantages of a modernised data centre
“With our innovative approach, experienced professionals, and training and enablement capabilities, we will support our partners to take their cloud and virtualisation businesses to the next level.”
The agreement further strengthens an existing partnership which stretches across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
In addition, the move follows the appointment of Uma Thana Balasingam as vice president of Partner Business across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) at VMware, as revealed by Channel Asia.
Effective March, Balasingam - who was recruited from Riverbed - is tasked with driving the vendor’s regional channel strategy, taking control of an ecosystem housing solution providers, distributors, OEMs and telecommunications partners.
