Andrew Fisher has been appointed as vice president of channels and alliances across Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) at Pure Storage, joining the vendor following nine years with Dimension Data.

Effective immediately, Fisher is tasked with building out the vendor’s channel ecosystem across the region, spanning value-added resellers, system integrators and managed service providers.

Fisher joins the business from Dimension Data, following nine years as regional director based in Queensland, Australia.

“I want to publicly thank Dimension Data and NTT for the amazing privilege of leading this team,” wrote Fisher, via social media. “I want to thank our incredible clients, partners and most importantly the people who have supported me so much.

“As excited as I am about my new role, I wanted to take stock of this incredible journey and say thank you to you all.”

During his time at Dimension Data, Fisher managed some of the technology provider’s largest customers, including Foxtel, Flight Centre, Rio Tinto and Queensland Government.

Fisher was also responsible for driving go-to-market transformation across digital and as-a-service market segments, in addition to expertise across cloud, contact solutions, data centre and security.

“I’m leaving the stewardship of the Queensland business in the extremely capable hands of Laura Ritson,” Fisher added. “Thank you to the executives at Dimension Data for your mentorship and giving me enough rope to make a difference.”

Fisher joins Pure Storage four months after Matthew Oostveen was appointed as chief technology officer and vice president of APJ, weeks after exiting Dell EMC.
