Forcepoint has recognised its leading Asia Pacific (APAC) channel partners as part of the cyber security vendor's annual partner conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The awards recognised partners for their contribution in solving complex security challenges for the vendor’s customers in their journey to digitally transform themselves.
Overall, nine partners were recognised across six categories based on criteria including overall revenue performance and new business growth secured in 2018.
“In today’s era of digital transformation, large amounts of critical data move in and out of organisations as CIOs modernise their IT architecture to take full advantage of cloud and mobile technologies,” said George Chang, vice president of Asia Pacific at Forcepoint.
“However, traditional security approaches are not able to keep pace with the technological advances and organisations are finding it difficult to protect their digital ‘crown jewels’.
"Our partners are helping to address the accelerated demand for human-centric cyber security as more and more organisations worldwide recognise the critical importance of securing humans and data in today’s sophisticated threat landscape."
Earlier in 2019, the vendor released a new converged security platform designed to deliver risk-adaptive protection that is both "extensible and behaviour-based", in an effort to accelerate digital transformation for enterprise and government agencies.
The first solution to be built on this platform is designed to prepare enterprise networks for cloud adoption and delivers advanced user, data, network and web security.
However, according to a Frost & Sullivan study, which was commissioned by Forcepoint, while digital transformation is catching on among regional organisations, 65 per cent believe that progress is hindered by perceived security risks.
Channel partners play a key role in helping vendor’s like Forcepoint educate customers and work closely to remedy key concerns.
“The awards reinforce the success our partners are enjoying in the marketplace due to the increased demand for human-centric cybersecurity,” added Oni Chakravartti, vice president of global channel sales at Forcepoint.
“This in turn demonstrate customers’ acceptance of Forcepoint’s unique human-centric approach to cyber security and the security efficacy that can be achieved in understanding user behaviours on a network - delivering near real time risk mitigation.
"Our partners are integral to the Forcepoint business, and we are committed to their success and are focused on helping customers gain a critical advantage with our behaviour-centric security solutions."
