Rubrik has pulled off a channel coup through the appointment of Wendy Bahr as chief commercial officer, following 18 years at Cisco.
The iconic channel veteran resigned as senior vice president of global partner organisation at Cisco late last year, and was replaced by Oliver Tuszik.
Less than six months later, Bahr now takes charge of Rubrik's managed service provider, global system integrator and channel partners, in addition to hardware and software alliances, inside sales and professional services teams.
The move also sees Bahr link up once again with John Chambers, former CEO of Cisco.
“Wendy is hands down one of the most trusted and respected channel executives I have worked with during my career,” said Chambers, speaking as founder and CEO of JC2 Ventures and chairman emeritus of Cisco Systems.
“Rubrik has done a fantastic job of capitalising on the shift to cloud and the resulting proliferation of data to become a ‘must have’ software platform for enterprise IT teams.”
According to Chambers, the addition of Bahr to Rubrik’s leadership team will “fuel even greater growth” for the data management vendor.

Prior to joining Rubrik, Bahr was responsible for managing and supporting more than 60,000 global partners at Cisco, who represent the tech giant's primary route to market.
Spanning system integrators, value-added resellers, distributors, services partners, independent software vendors and technology partners, the Cisco ecosystem accounted for more than 80 per cent of overall revenue during her tenure.
In addition, Bahr was responsible for Global Virtual Sales and Global Customer Success with over $10 billion in revenue impact, as well as the Cisco Global Meraki Sales Organisation.
