Japan-based Information Services International-Dentsu (ISID) has acquired a 75 per cent equity stake in Ebiz Cipta Solusi, an Indonesian independent software vendor (ISV).
Transacted through local subsidiary ISID Indonesia, Ebiz specialises in the development of third-party software solutions as well as the provision of technical support services.
Ebiz developed a reporting solution ‘Maleo Series’ targeting financial authorities, with the offering currently used by more than 20 major Indonesian leasing and finance companies.
The agreement follows a move by the Financial Services Authority of Indonesia to increase the need for reporting solutions for all Indonesian financial-related corporations, spanning leasing and finance firms, banks, securities companies and insurance providers.
“Thus significant growth is expected in the businesses of Ebiz in the future,” a company statement read.
Meanwhile, ISID Indonesia is a specialist systems integrator, working mainly with Japanese corporations operating in Indonesia.
The technology provider has reported increased market demand for ‘Lamp’, which is a core system for leasing and financing business developed and deployed by ISID Group across ASEAN and China.
ISID Indonesia has implemented ‘Lamp’ for customers in Indonesia, including four Japanese leasing and financing companies doing business in the country.
“With this acquisition, ISID Group will add to its solution line-up Ebiz’s reporting solution for financial authorities required by existing and potential Lamp customers,” a company statement added.
“Additionally, ISID Group intends to expand its financial solutions business in Indonesia by accelerating sales of Lamp and a variety of other solutions leveraging Ebiz local customer base.”
As a result of the agreement, Ebiz is now a subsidiary of ISID.
