Dell Boomi wants to leverage its relationship with its parent company, Dell Technologies, in a way that promises will benefit partners.
"Everyone knows who Dell is and yes we are going to leverage their name to give us credibility in the market," said Linda Urlich, regional director, partner and alliance APJ at Dell Boomi.
During the Dell Boomi World Tour in Sydney on 18 March, Urlich told partners that while the Boomi brand may be familiar among many integration specialists, the same does not always apply when talking to many executives, and it is working on getting its name out further.
"We have about 40 people focused on selling in our organisation in APJ," Urlich said. "Dell has over 400 and they are currently engaged and selling to over a thousand enterprise customers.
"They are also selling to over 23,000 commercial customers and they have over 6,500 mid-tier customers that are currently in discussion with them."
Urlich explained that the key is Dell Boomi is a "huge" value proposition when it comes to connections, legacy modernisation, digital transformation or innovation. Urlich said, ultimately, Boomi is a key agenda item for Dell.
"So we are adding value to their conversations, additionally they are adding value to our business by driving those referrals and introductions into their client base," she explained.
"Ultimately the partners in this room will benefit because we are not a service organisation. As we take this opportunity we'll start to engage with our partners to helps us in the sale cycle and to also help us with the delivery.
"This is our ultimate relationship and it is there to benefit you [partner] as much as it is going to benefit us."
In November, Boomi announced its new partner program aimed at independent software vendors (ISVs), systems integrators and app developers to help improve the delivery of Boomi solutions.
At the time, the US-based vendor flagged partners leveraging the new program would be able to develop and release public connectors on the Boomi platform, Boomi ISV and to meet the demand.
In addition, partners with similar solutions can use the program’s documentation and APIs to create interoperability with the Boomi platform, which was set to enable customers to make independent reports and analytics or launch their own processes, according to Boomi.
