Kent Lee has resigned from his role as CEO of Dimension Data in Singapore, six months after assuming the top position.

Channel Asia can exclusively reveal that the leader exited the business on 11 March, with plans now in place to find a replacement CEO.

“In his short tenure, Kent has contributed to the continued success of Dimension Data and I believe he will continue to be successful in his future endeavours,” said Png Kim Meng, CEO of ASEAN at Dimension Data.

“We will commence the search for the new CEO and I will be covering the duties of the Singapore CEO till the position is filled.

“Our focus and commitments to you, our clients and partners, remain unchanged. We will continue to serve you through our service excellence and comprehensive portfolio. I look forward to your continual support towards our strong partnership that have been built over the years.”

As reported by Channel Asia, Lee was appointed to the role of CEO of Singapore in September, as part of plans to target continued growth and profitability.

Lee was responsible for the general management of the company's operations, alongside achieving financial targets and growing market leadership within technology.

The departure comes two months after Dimension Data was appointed by online travel agency Agoda to improve the Singapore-headquartered firm’s customer experience through enhanced engagement with users.

As reported by Channel Asia, it will do this through the implementation of the omni-channel platform Genesys PureEngage, which claims to offer a personalised, customer-centric approach across all communication channels.
