DXC Technology has acquired the service business of Danish IT firm EG for an undisclosed amount.
The Copenhagen-based company will be integrated into DXC's Microsoft Dynamics business, Eclipse, with the deal expected to close by the end of March.
Described as being one of Scandinavia's leaders in Microsoft Dynamics integration, EG will also see its Infor M3 and SAP practices integrated into Eclipse and DXC's SAP service.
“In DXC Technology, we have found a strategic partner with significant global capabilities that will benefit EG's customers as they embark on their digital transformation journeys,” said EG CEO Mikkel Bardram. “In addition, EG’s employees will have an opportunity to contribute to the growth of DXC’s Microsoft Dynamics practice.”
Founded in 1977, EG has 1,800 employees based across Scandinavia and Poland, 570 of those work in the integration business.
“The combination of EG with DXC Eclipse will extend DXC’s leadership as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems integrator, greatly enhancing our ability to address client needs in the Nordic region and globally,” said DXC chairman, president and CEO Mike Lawrie.
“This also represents a significant investment for DXC in the Nordics, which is recognised as one of the most digitally capable areas in the world.”
DXC has made a number of acquisitions in recent months, including the double-purchase of UK-based Tesm and Denmark-based BusinessNow in an effort to strengthen its ServiceNow practice globally.
Last year, locally, the company bought Melbourne-headquartered Microsoft partner, Sable37, in its ongoing push to become one of the leading partners for Dynamics 365.
