Unified communications provider MNF Enterprise has revealed the addition of calling capability via its Cloud Connect service for Microsoft Teams.
According to the company, which is part of publicly-listed MNF Group, the service was added in order to help customers complete their transition to Microsoft Teams.
The service is available for customers in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore with the "native integrated" service.
According to MNF Enterprise, Microsoft Partners can also benefit by enhancing their managed services offering through the adoption of MNF Enterprise’s Cloud Connect service.
"Enterprises are adopting modern collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, but they don’t want to give up their phone calling capabilities. Cloud Connect gives them the best of both worlds,” said Greg Round general manager, enterprise and government at MNF Enterprise.
"Microsoft Teams now has calling features comparable to Skype for Business and traditional PBX phone systems. With the addition of Cloud Connect, organisations can safely retire those old phone services and legacy on-premise equipment and move telecommunications to the cloud with confidence.”
MNF Enterprise’s Cloud Connect service is a platform that combines workplace chat, meetings, notes and attachments with all the capabilities of an enterprise phone system.
Cloud Connect for Teams has been "extensively trialed" with enterprise and government customers and it is now available to organisations with 20 seats or more.
MNF Group completed in December the acquisition of Inabox's indirect business, which includes its wholesale and enablement business.
The $34.5 million deal closed on 12 December and saw MNF acquire all the operation entities for Inabox which includes Telcoinabox, iVox, Neural Networks, Mobile Service Solutions and Symmetry Networks.
