DXC Technology has officially opened two additional analytics migration factories in Manila, Philippines, and Warsaw, Poland.
This follows a Channel Asia report in September 2018 that the technology integrator was in the midst of preparing these factories for launch following the opening of a similar factory in Bangalore, India; the first in the industry, the integrator claimed at the time.
“With our Analytics Migration Factories, we are helping our clients’ digital transformations by ensuring smooth, rapid and orderly migrations of analytics workloads to Azure,” said Edward Ho, executive vice president and general manager of offerings at DXC.
“Adding to our Bangalore centre, our two new Analytics Migration Factory locations will further enable DXC clients to migrate to modern, cloud-based platforms, helping them leverage advanced analytics, AI and machine learning in new and innovative ways."
As the move to cloud accelerates, tools such as DXC’s analytics migration factory will become critical components for speedy migration in an increasingly competitive market.
The factory will provide DXC’s clients with an efficient, end-to-end experience for development, delivery and ongoing support services designed for analytics workload migration solutions to Azure.
DXC has more than 900 Azure professional certifications, 900 analytics clients and 8,000 analytics and AI professionals worldwide.
Following this launch, the technology integrator plans to invest resources into professional training and certifications to up-skill the local workforce across critical areas such as data science, cloud architecture, solution design and deployment on Azure.
“DXC’s approach to cloud migrations is helping deliver cutting-edge innovations that help customers navigate the technological and business shifts businesses are facing,” said Rohan Kumar, corporate vice president of Azure Data Platform, Microsoft.
“Microsoft Azure gives customers the capability to extract valuable insights from their data and engage their customers in ways they were not able to do previously. Getting there quickly and efficiently is DXC’s Analytics Migration Factory approach."
As a provider of end-to-end IT services, the company’s secure digital-generation services delivery model will be deployed, called DXC Bionix, which will provide an effective method to implement intelligent automation at scale, paving the way for a more streamlined digital transformation rollout and quicker turnaround.
Specifically, such capabilities will provide organisations with the elasticity of cloud for their analytic services to enable new and deeper business insights, to try or test new analytic use cases, and to explore new technologies without incurring unnecessary deep capital outlays.
"Enterprises in Asia are shifting from traditional, tactical and tool-centric data and analytics projects to strategic, modern and architecture-centric analytics programs,” said Koushik Radhakrishnan, vice president and general manager of Asia at DXC Technology.
"With DXC’s deep expertise in analytic applications and Azure cloud, the Manila centre will help clients modernise and consolidate their current analytics environments and accelerate migration to the cloud."
