Dimension Data CEO Jason Goodall has been selected as the leading candidate to head up the combined NTT business as the technology providers iron out integration plans.

Effective 1 July 2019, the appointment has the backing of both parties but is subject to a formal approval process.

Once appointed, Goodall will look after NTT’s global business, outside of Japan as well as leading the Integration Management Office (IMO), which will be dedicated to governing and leading the approach to the integration of the NTT operating companies.

In the meantime, Goodall will also continue his responsibilities as CEO for Dimension Data.

“I am delighted to be announced as the candidate to lead the global operating company,” said Goodall.

“As we step into this exciting period of integration and head towards achieving our NTT One’vision, we will enable our clients and partners to accelerate their ambitions through digital transformation by offering a seamless, combined set of expertise, as well as leveraging the significant investments we’re making in innovation.”

Goodall assumed the top role at Dimension Data in June 2016, after Brett Dawson stepped down after 12 years.

Having originally been COO, Goodall was previously responsible for the regions and several global functions including sales, marketing, Group Information Services (GIS), HR and commercial finance.

The selection of Goodall as a candidate comes as the provider unveils the next steps towards bringing the NTT and Dimension Data businesses together under one roof, in addition to growing global operations.

According to Jun Sawada - CEO of NTT - the growth strategy is centred around “delivering high value solutions” to customers within the context of digital transformation.

“Creating new markets and business demand with our clients through innovation that challenges the status quo,”  Sawada added. “Building on a foundation of global talent, global brand trust, and core NTT values.

“This strategy combined with the focus on business outcomes for clients, and the development of our people will position us to compete effectively in the market for digital transformation services.”
