Software defined storage solutions vendor Talon is "aggressively" building out its channel ecosystem across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific.
Talon has been doing business in Australia since 2012 through its worldwide sales team.
Sean Scott, regional director of Asia Pacific, told ARN the vendor it is utilising strategic partners that are certified on the sales and technical aspects of Talon’s FAST solution.
Talon currently leverages multiple locations throughout Australia and New Zealand via partner offices and virtual offices.
"New Zealand is a very strong market for Talon and we already have several successful customer use cases," Scott told ARN. "The Asia market is an expansion target at present, with many Talon customers already using our software in Asia and more approaching us wanting to leverage our solutions for their needs."
Talon does not have distribution partners, with its strategy involving directly working with channel partners.
"Talon knows that the only way to scale and be truly successful is via the channel, so we are aggressively building out our channel network in Australia, New Zealand and Asia," Scott added. "Not only pure play VARs but through our strategic alliances with NetApp, Microsoft, AWS and Oracle.
"Talon has a select group of strong partners in A/NZ that have proven to be highly effective. We are aggressively assessing VARs that fit our model and can bring immediate value.
"One of the strengths of our engagement model is that we can work with almost any channel organisation with or without a partner agreement to facilitate a customer outcome."
Scott said that in order to deliver Talon's biggest impact, he has increased focus on building its channel and engaging with alliance partners.
Talon has increased its number of customers two times in A/NZ with over 1,200 locations deployed.
