Ingram Micro has redesigned the control panel of its flagship Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, rolling out the new offering in Hong Kong, with Singapore and Malaysia set to follow.
Channel Asia can reveal that the distribution giant has revamped core capabilities to create a “brand-new user experience”, in a bid to drive further partner growth.
With Hong Kong now live, partners in Singapore and Malaysia can access the improved solution on 22 October.
“The new unified control panel offers up a fresh, modern look and quick, convenient functionality,” said Angela Choo, director of cloud across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong at Ingram Micro. “Plus, it is now responsive, so it works just as well on your desktop as your smartphone and tablet.
“In the unified control panel, we’ve successfully combined what were three panels (transaction, administration, and management) into a single, visually appealing and user-friendly panel that puts you in control. The new panel will be your one-stop shop for all reseller activities.”

From the new consolidated panel, Choo said partners can now manage customers more efficiently, including improved registration, profile updates and login crendetials.
Furthermore, partners can monitor account status, allowing technology providers to view credit limit and balances, view recent transactions and add a back-up credit card.
Delving deeper, users can also view and pay Ingram Micro Cloud invoices, add/select payment method, view profiles and account history, while exporting rated billing data.
Specifically, partners can run daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports for invoicing and billing reconciliation.
“You can shop for and purchase new items on behalf of your customers from a new store front right inside the unified control panel,” Choo added.
“Easily locate what you need with a powerful search function, along with a quick view of top-selling and popular products and a list of service categories.”

According to Choo, after Ingram Micro enables the new control panel experience, partners will still be able to access the old panel through a Classic Mode option.
“For some period of time, anyway,” Choo added, “until you’re ready to embrace the new version. “We’re committed to the user experience and plan on incorporating more functionality into it going forward.”
