Nginx has rolled out a new partner program across Asia Pacific, as part of a global initiative to expand its ecosystem of technology partners and influencers.
The software vendor has avoided taking a more siloed approach to partner programs often seen with more traditional players, instead enabling providers to effectively mix and match what best suits their business.
“We understand and have a deep appreciation for the power of community in all its forms, including our ecosystem of partners and influencers,” said MJ Shutte, vice president of sales at Nginx.
"Our new Nginx Partner Network offers membership to anyone who wants to be part of the ecosystem, whether or not their business involves selling Nginx technologies. It offers members the ability to engage how they need to, when they need to, and does not limit them by tiers and categories."
Nginx is a web server which can also be used as a reverse proxy, load balancer, mail proxy and HTTP cache.
Through the adoption of public cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions, solution providers have fundamentally changed how they engage with their customers through the introduction of new business models and go-to-market strategies.
Channel partners have been responding to these changes through updated and diversified business models with increasing investments seen in professional and managed services as well as developing their own custom systems or intellectual property, in addition to targeting new buyers outside of the IT organisation.
"As Nginx continues its global expansion, we are opening up new routes to market and relying increasingly on our partner community to help us provide a world-class experience to our customers in key markets,” said Shutte.
"Partners that sell and recommend Nginx technologies are going to be an important component of our go-to-market strategy moving forward, and we are looking to aggressively grow the size of that partner community in 2019."
As part of the new program, the vendor will help partners create new integrations and certify interoperability with their own platforms as well as develop modules that extend the vendor’s products with advanced capabilities and offer its products as part of a portfolio of technology solutions and services.
Furthermore, partners will be able to build custom solutions with the vendor’s products embedded and support will be provided to help grow a technology consulting practice as a recognised Nginx associate.
The new partner program aims to actively support regional resellers, solution providers, MSPs, consultants, and others who want to market and sell the vendor’s technologies.
The vendor runs its regional operations from its APAC headquarters in Singapore.
