Innovix has been announced as a distributor for Extreme Networks in Singapore
Innovix has been announced as a distributor for Extreme Networks in Singapore; revealed at a launch event for the partnership at Mandarin Oriental, Singapore.
This is the third distributor the networking vendor has signed for Singapore as it eyes regional growth on the back of strong year of growth during 2017.
"Our corporate mission is to create business opportunities and to help partners to drive incremental business by embracing new technologies and developing new capabilities,” said Ang Wee Lee, product marketing director, Innovix Distribution.
"Extreme Networks have recently acquired such brands as Avaya, Brocade and Zebra so they have reinforced and expanded their product offerings and this fits very well with our corporate mission to create new business opportunities and to drive incremental business for all our partners."
In 2017, Extreme Networks made three significant acquisitions, namely, Zebra, Avaya Networking, and Brocade, enabling the vendor to provide an end-to-end solution ranging from the data centre to the core to the edge.
Executives at Extreme Networks see three key differentiators for the vendor, namely, its single management centre responsible for network monitoring rather than having different management centres for wireless, wired, network access control, and so on.
The second differentiator is centred around service and support, handling such matters in-house rather than outsourcing, while the third differentiator is its use of a wireless intrusion prevention system (IPS).
“We started this partnership between Innovix and Extreme Networks in Hong Kong,” said Jason Leong, country manager for Extreme Networks Singapore, where Innovix has been distributing for the vendor for the past few years.
“We are doing well there. We wanted to extend the partnership to Singapore and Malaysia. We are excited to partner with Innovix because they have a very strong partner base."
The move comes after Extreme Networks reviewed its distribution partners in the region after completing three acquisitions.
As reported by Channel Asia, and as a result of the acquisitions, the vendor had about 140 distributors across the region.
Meanwhile in January, the business fully launched its new partner program following the acquisitions of Zebra Technologies’ WLAN business, Avaya’s networking business and Brocade’s data centre networking business.
The program offers a broadened solution set, aiming to further enable and reward partners through new solution-selling by leading with software and delivering automation from the campus edge to the data centre.
