Regional Cisco channel security leader exits for Tenable

Diwakar Dayal tasked with expanding Tenable’s presence across India and SAARC

Diwakar Dayal has joined Tenable as managing director for India and SAARC, vacating his security channel sales position across Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China at Cisco.

Dayal spent eight years at Cisco, laying the foundation for the Indian security business and building the vendor’s cyber security sales team for four years, before assuming the role of security channel leader.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank my security partners, customers, and Cisco team,” said Dayal, via a social media post. “You made my run a truly memorable one.”

Dayal will now be tasked with expanding security specialist Tenable’s presence across India and SAARC.

"I am thrilled to have come on board Tenable as the managing director for India & SAARC, to expand the cyber exposure company’s presence in one of the fastest growing security markets in the world,” Dayal added.

"Cyber exposure is an emerging discipline for managing and measuring cyber security risk, in an era as the nation goes through a massive digital transformation while investing in a strong secure cyber foundation."

Dayal started his career at Wipro Infotech before moving on to work in various IT and security-related positions at Sify, Dimension Data, Juniper Networks before moving to Cisco in 2010 as a country leader - security business group (India and SAARC).
