Sid Bhandari (Ecosystm)
Consulting veteran Sid Bhandari has joined Singapore-based Ecosystm as director of consulting and advisory services, vacating his role at IDC in the process.
The move aims to bolster Ecosystm's technology and vendor selection advisory capabilities, in addition to market analysis, vertical insights, go-to-market strategies and integrated programmes for the tech vendor community.
Bhandari joins the technology research and advisory firm Ecosystm from IDC where he held the role of regional account manager for the APeJ region.
In total Bhandari has over 13 years of senior account management experience and strategic market research experience.
Ecosystm was founded in 2016 in Singapore by another consultancy veteran Amit Gupta, with the intention of bringing together technology buyers, vendors and analysts into one integrated platform. Gupta held senior positions at IDC before founding Ecosystm.
Bhandari will have responsibility for growing and managing the firm’s consulting and strategic advisory services wing.
“The research and advisory industry has been gathering dust, remaining unchallenged for a long time, so it is high time it was disrupted,” said Bhandari.
“Ecosystm levels the playing field, flipping the traditional model on its head. I am delighted to be contributing to its development, making insights, analysis and market strategies accessible for all."
Earlier this year, Ecosystm made another significant hire recruiting analyst industry heavyweight Vernon Turner as executive analyst, who joined the firm with 18 years of prior experience in senior leadership positions at IDC.
