Haresh Khoobchandani (Autodesk)
Haresh Khoobchandani has been appointed as new vice president of sales for Asia Pacific at Autodesk.
Based in Singapore, Khoobchandani will have responsibility for the strategic direction and overall profitability across the market for the software vendor.
"Haresh has extensive knowledge of the software industry and a strong track record of driving customer and business success in both emerging and mature markets,” said Roland Zelles, vice president of sales, Autodesk.
“We are excited to welcome him to the team, and to work with him to drive the next phase of Autodesk's growth in Asia Pacific."
Khoobchandani joins Autodesk with over 25 years of sales and marketing experience, with 19 years spent in various leadership positions at Microsoft, including general manager of business solutions in Asia Pacific, and managing director of Microsoft Thailand.
The industry veteran also ran REA Group’s digital business across Singapore and Malaysia as CEO, which specialises in digital advertising for the property market.
Asia Pacific is the smallest regional revenue contributor to the company but it is the fastest growing market with significant opportunities. Globally, Europe generates the most revenue for the software vendor.
The vendor has also been in the process of transitioning its business model from the standard way of sell software via perpetual licenses to a software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription model in line with the wider software industry.
