Leonard Cheong has been appointed as managing director of software company AdNovum Singapore after only three months with the company.

Cheong will be responsible for developing the business and increasing sales both in Singapore and the region.

Cheong’s predecessor Moritz Kuhn will return to the Swiss-based software specialist's headquarters in Zurich to take on a new position within the organisation.

Kuhn ran the Singapore operation for four and a half years, developing the business plan and strategy for the Singapore and regional market, and growing the headcount to 45 employees.

"We congratulate Leonard Cheong on his new position as Managing Director of our Singapore branch and thank Moritz Kuhn for his ongoing commitment and valuable contribution,” said Chris Tanner, CEO, AdNovum.

"We are convinced that Leonard Cheong's broad experience and network within the IT industry in Singapore and Southeast Asia will help propel AdNovum's business in the region."

Cheong takes up the position with 28 years of program and sales management experience across the IT industry, with major corporations such as IBM, HP and SAP.

In his previous position as sales director at SAP, Cheong was responsible for rebuilding the government sector business in Singapore, growing the business by 41 per cent over a two and half year period.

Cheong then took on the role of Southeast Asian public sector partner director, before leaving the company in February 2018.

"Continuing in the steps of Moritz Kuhn, I will focus on strengthening and expanding AdNovum's offering in Singapore,” said Cheong.

"I believe that, with its comprehensive know-how and skills in the area of IT security and its CIAM product NEVIS, AdNovum has considerable potential in both the private and public sectors in Asia Pacific."
