Citrix strengthens channel presence with ASEAN distributor deals

Four new distributors appointed in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam

Citrix has expanded presence across the channel ecosystem in ASEAN, through the appointment of four new distributors across Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

Designed to drive deeper levels of reseller engagement across the region, the expanded distribution network aims to provide better partner access to secure workplaces, networking and cloud solutions.

Specifically, the appointments span Synnex Metrodata in Indonesia, Netpoleon in Malaysia, M.Tech in Thailand and VietSunshine JSC in Vietnam.

“Responding to our partner’s feedback and the growth opportunities in ASEAN, the new appointed distributors will provide a wider coverage in the local markets,” Citrix director of channel ASEAN, John Lee, said.

“Each distributor announced today brings unique strengths and experiences to the table that will benefit our channel partners and mutual customers.

“We look forward to working with the newly appointed distributors to offer more value-added Citrix solutions and services to our ASEAN reseller ecosystem and to reach into new markets.”

The four new distributors will operate alongside Tech Data in operating across ASEAN, servicing the channel in specific parts of the region.

According to Lee, the appointed distributors will provide Citrix’s partner ecosystem with increased technological support, in addition to more enablement opportunities and expanded access to multi-vendor configurations.

Based in Indonesia, Synnex Metrodata manufactures and distributes technology products and solutions, including personal computers, notebooks, servers and media centres.

“Citrix is a strategic partner for us, and their suite of products complements our existing portfolio and will bring expanded opportunities to our resellers and customers,” Synnex Metrodata Indonesia commercial business director, Li Heng, said.

“With more companies realising the benefits of cloud, we see the potential for digital workspace to redefine the way organisations do their business and we will work closely with our partners to tap into this tremendous opportunity.”

Meanwhile in Malaysia, Netpoleon is a specialist distributor with expertise across security and networking solutions.

“With today’s increasingly complex IT environment, businesses are looking for an integrated workspace that can proactively address security threats across its multi-device, hybrid-and multi- cloud environments,” Netpoleon sales director, Lester Song, added.

“Aligned with our robust security practice, Citrix technologies will enable us to equip our resellers with the complete end- to-end portfolio that their customers are looking for.”

In Thailand, M.Tech specialises in mid-market engagement with customers and partners, through leveraging established and emerging technologies.

“Citrix’s technology has been recognised as one of the leaders in delivering the industry’s most comprehensive and integrated platform for secure app, data and network delivery,” M.Tech Group CEO, Stanley Foo, said.

“Citrix’s cutting-edge offerings coupled with our value-added approach and mid-market coverage will help to accelerate our Thai partners’ business growth for mutual benefits.”

Finally, Vietnam-based VietSunshine provides expertise across an expanding technology portfolio, backed up by reseller support and enablement.

“VietSunshine JSC has long been known as the leading ICT value-added distributor in Vietnam by bringing innovative technology vendors to the Vietnam market,” VietSunshine JSC technical and product director of Vietnam, Luong Bui, added.

“With Citrix’s wide and leading products portfolio and services offering, we believe we will be able to meet the growing customer demand in Vietnam and transform their businesses.”
